Hammond Transportation Ltd. takes pride in helping to build the communities where we live and work. We are proud sponsors of many local sports clubs and support a wide variety of children’s and local charitable organizations and clubs. We take an active role in connecting rural Muskokans to shopping, doctors and appointments in town by providing regular transportation service throughout the region. We operate regular grocery shopping trips for in-town seniors.
We are active members in local business associations and chambers of commerce. While Hammond Transportation Ltd. is a regional transportation company we have strong connections throughout the Ontario and Canadian school bus motorcoach industry enabling us to coordinate with other companies to provide larger scale services. Hammond Transportation Ltd. is a member of the Ontario Motor Coach Association, Motor Coach Canada and Ontario School Bus Association, with representation on the Board of Directors of all three associations. These partnerships are crucial to our commitment to local community building and to providing our customers with the best travel experience possible!
The Environment:
Hammond Transportation Ltd. is one of only two Canadian motor coach operators participating in “Green Certification for the Transportation Sector: The Pilot Certification Project for the Motor Coach Industry.” Through this program, standards and protocols for a Green Coach Certification Program are being developed, evaluated and tested for the North American Motor Coach industry. We are also proud supporters of the Muskoka Envirocredits program to promote watershed health and reduce carbon emissions.
